Mission Jeunesse transforms young people into ambassadors of socio-economic growth

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has launched a groundbreaking Mission Youth initiative with the aim of acting as a channel for the aspirations and concerns of J&K youth.
The mission aims to provide a platform for an unprecedented transformation of young people into ambassadors of hope, peace and socio-economic growth through systematic interventions in various fields.
The mission emphasizes all individuals between the ages of 15 and 25 with a dual purpose: to effectively support and encourage young people to realize their potential and aspirations while addressing their needs and concerns and to effectively encourage young people to shape their future. according to their aspirations.
The program was designed with the goal of positively engaging J&K youth through a multi-pronged strategy involving all necessary systematic interventions.
Thus, the organization plans to induce a sieve of demand-driven interventions for inclusive youth development, which includes livelihood provision, skills development, education, counseling and rehabilitation, sports and recreation, etc.
For holistic and pragmatic youth engagement and empowerment at J&K on a sustainable basis, Mission Youth envisions the establishment of purpose-built youth centers with the state-of-the-art architecture in all 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, primarily designed to present a safe environment attractive to young people with manifestation of hope, safety and aspirations of young people.
MUMKIN Scheme: Under the umbrella of Mission Youth, Mumkin Scheme is one of the major schemes of the J&K government with the aim of helping young people in Jammu and Kashmir establish a sustainable livelihood in the transport sector by providing financial assistance for the acquisition of new small utility vehicles.
The applicant has complete freedom to choose any small utility vehicle of any approved model/make of their choice. Small commercial vehicles include taxis, mini-buses, light commercial vehicles, tempos and any other mode of transport of the same nature under public carrier authorization. The program is implemented by Mission Youth, J&K through district-level committees formed for this purpose.
The program banking partner must extend the loan facility up to 100% of the on-road price of the vehicle to be purchased under the program. Mission Youth will provide an amount of Rs 80,000 or 10% of the on-road price of the vehicle as an initial grant towards the beneficiary’s loan amount under the scheme.
The vehicle manufacturer must also provide an initial special discount, at least equal to the grant amount provided by Mission Youth to the recipient’s loan account.
TEJASWINI (THE RADIANT) is another program aimed at empowering and inspiring women to generate income for activities in manufacturing, services, trade, small businesses, etc. Its main objective is to facilitate flexible financing for the creation of new units/enterprises or for expansion/modernization. of existing units or for the acquisition of fixed assets (plants and machinery, equipment, furniture and fixtures).
Under this scheme, eligible prospective women entrepreneurs are facilitated to avail financial assistance under J&K Bank Mudra Loan up to 5 lakh.
The banking partners of the program provide a loan facility up to 100% of the project cost under the program, where Mission jeunesse provides an amount of Rs 50,000 or 10% of the project cost under the program.
The activities covered by Tejaswini are canteen and restraint, crèche, cyber cafe, beauty parlour, nursery, laundry and dry cleaning, mobile repair, photocopy center, training institute , the fitness center, the yoga center or any other lucrative business.
