Douglas G. Duncan is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Fannie Mae, where he is responsible for forecasting and analysis of the economy and the real estate and mortgage markets. Duncan also oversees strategic research regarding the potential impact of external factors on the housing industry. He leads the House Price Forecasting Task Force that reports to the Finance Committee.

Under his leadership, Fannie Mae’s Economics and Strategy Research (ESR) group won the NABE Outlook Award, given annually for the most accurate forecasts of GDP and Treasury yield, in 2015 and 2016 – the first recipient in the history of the award to win the honour. two years in a row. In addition, ESR was awarded by Pulsenomics for the best real estate price prediction.

Named one of the 50 Most Influential People in Real Estate by Bloomberg/BusinessWeek, Duncan is Fannie Mae’s source for news and analysis on demographics and the external business and economic environment; the implications of changes in economic activity on corporate strategy and execution; and to forecast overall real estate, economic and mortgage market activity.

Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Duncan was Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the Mortgage Bankers Association. His experience also includes work on the Financial Institutions Project at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Human Services as a LEGIS Fellow and Banking, Finance, and Urban Affairs Committee staffer for Congressman Bill McCollum at the United States House of Representatives.

Duncan earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and his BS and MS in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University.

Leslie Wyatt
Director of Regulatory Compliance

Leslie Wyatt is Director of Regulatory Compliance at SoftPro. She began her career in the real estate industry over 20 years ago and joined SoftPro in 2002. She currently oversees the compliance department and primarily focuses on regulatory matters at the federal, state and county levels.

Leslie is a member of the ALTA Implementation Task Force, Title Action Network Steering Committee, ALTA Government Affairs Committee, ALTA Membership Committee, Education Committee of ALTA and the Federal Issues Committee of the TLTA. She represented ALTA at a Congressional briefing regarding changes to CFPB and TRID. Leslie travels across the country to speak on hot topics in our industry with a focus on regulation and compliance. Leslie continues to work with the CFPB on various projects regarding TRID, UCD, MISMO and other industry hot topics.
