Hanoi (VNA) – The Standing Committee of the National Assembly (AN) issued on December 30, 2021 a resolution enabling the implementation of a number of mechanisms and policies in the health sector serving COVID-19 prevention and control activities, including drug and drug ingredient management.
After the promulgation of the document, the President of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) Alain Cany, on behalf of European companies in the country, sent a letter to the President of the NA Vuong Dinh Hue, expressing his appreciation for the promulgation of this resolution, describing it as an important step forward for Vietnamese and European companies in terms of socio-economic recovery and protection of public health.
In particular, the President of EuroCham pointed out that the extension of the use of the circulation registration license until December 31, 2022, as well as other regulations on medicines and ingredients, will help to mitigate the difficulties and burdens caused by the persistent and complicated pandemic.
Previously, on December 15, 2021, the ambassadors of EU member countries, the ambassadors of Switzerland and Japan had sent diplomatic notes asking the legislator to consider enacting the resolution by December to allow the continuation of the use of circulation registration permit to import and circulate drugs in 2022.
The promulgation of this resolution by the NA Standing Committee demonstrates its determination to Prevention and control of COVID-19, his interest in economic activities, the accompaniment of the legislative body and his efforts to solve the difficulties and obstacles of companies in the context of the pandemic as well as during economic recovery and development./.
